About Ania

Ania Danylo has been working in theatre as an actor, director, writer, and instructor for over 20 years. Her directorial credits include "The Diary of Anne Frank", "Medea", "Pope Joan", Strindberg's "Easter", Shakespeare's "A Midsummer Night's Dream", " A Comedy of Errors", "Much Ado About Nothing, "Cymbeline" numerous other published scripted plays. She also wrote family-oriented original scripts with which she toured Western Canada for a number of years, while Prelude Artist functioned in its capacity as a theatre company.

A teacher of acting, speech arts, and music programs, she is the recipient of several acting awards and has been involved in award-winning theatrical projects. Through her coaching, several of her students have claimed awards in their own right for their performances. Ania believes in the unique potential of each and every student and strives to guide them to build their acting skills in a creative, positive, and fun environment. This approach inspires them to be dedicated to their craft,

In the late 1990s, Ania moved towards the film and tv world. She has worked on independent productions, as well as commercials, tv shows, and movies. She became the headteacher for a local Film Acting Academy for 3 and a half years. She continues to teach a variety of group and private classes, as well as help students and professional actors with auditions, self-tapes auditions, and coach them on their landed roles to bring forth their best performance.

Ania has a BFA in Theatre and is a registered teacher in Speech Arts and Drama, as well as Piano with the Royal Conservatory of Toronto. She is also a Certified Hypnotherapist. Ania has worked as an acting instructor for a number of companies, as well the unique opportunity to work as a director/instructor at the Ailanthus Performing Arts Centre in Vancouver alongside members of the Cirque du Soleil. She was the Educational Director for Storybook Theater Storybook Theatre in Calgary for a number of years.
